LSU Softball wins game 1 in Clearwater 12-8

That was a lot harder than it needed to be. Leaving Chaffin in way past her time allowed Georgia Tech to mount a comeback in the bottom of the 7th with 4 runs. We also left 9 on base but in the end, Tigers Win!

Nothing new there...she seems to place too much hope when a pitcher reaches 110 pitches. Today it was 140.

I know softball isn't like baseball but maybe she wanted to save the rest of her pitchers given that we had an 8 run lead?

BT did the right thing; Chaffin needed to be in there to fight through it. In the end she needed help to get one out to preserve a 4 run win. The win was hardly in jeopardy

When you score a lot of runs, LOB isn't a big deal.
When you score 1 run and leave 9 on base, that is when it gets annoying.
