You only get week zero games when you play at Hawaii. I don’t think most season ticket holders would be thrilled about that arrangement. Even if you did a standing home/away with them, you’d be sacrificing a home game every other year which would basically eliminate your ability to do home/away with other teams.

LSU tried to schedule a week 0 opponent, but couldn't make it work.

You know it would only be if we played at Hawaii, which certainly won’t happen if we played them every year.
Plus we would have to make that trip mid season which would suck for travel for the team and fans.

No need for something like that....just have a 'contract administrator' that is capable of negotiating game contracts which would PRECLUDE either party from engaging in week 0 games....are you listening Verge ??
