I agree though that it would be a home run higher. I love the intensity he gets his players to play with and they have been this way for the past 3 years. Unfortunately the job isn't open here yet, and I doubt it will be anytime soon.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Great coaches don't just magically appear. Besides Roy Williams, Gard, Bennett & Boheim, the P5 coaches in the Sweet 16 were once "flavor of the month" mid-major HCs:
Turgeon- Jacksonville St., Wichita St.
Kennedy- Murray St.
Altman- Creighton
Self- Oral Roberts
Wright- Hofstra
Brey- Delaware
Prohm- Murray St.
Kruger- TX Pan–American
Larranaga- George Mason
Coach K- Army
ETA: Jay Wright isn't a P5 coach
