Boyd's has LSU at 12. With a big gap between 9 and 10.

They've also updated the RPI needs report and LSU can get a top 8 if they win out. LINK

I believe this is the title of your post:

"There is now no scenario for LSU to finish with a top 8 RPI"

Looks pretty certain to me

So I never flat out said it would be impossible for us to get a top 8 seed. Boyd's World should update the report later today. I'll link it here or even start a knew thread if it now predicts a possible top 8.

you are correct. yet certain people are throwing shite at you like you are the author. it fits their agenda.

It's the title. It wasn't my opinion but "according to boydsworld.com". The OP itself had the link, quote, as well as my notes stating the issues with the calculation. I just bumped it. You can see for yourself.

Grand dad must have a few children on this board the way he's been defending people lol.

Yes it's the title that made people go nuts. You know they don't actually read the threads

Paul doesn't care about midweek games. He uses them to develop players. Nothing more but a glorified practice. I know it sucks but it's true.

I of course hope LSU gets a national seed, but since we've not fared well at home getting to Omaha, maybe a road super regional is what the doctor ordered. This team seems to perform well under pressure, and are coming around late.
Hope we win out and get the regional, but Stony Brook and Coastal Carolina proved you don't have to host to go to Omaha! That's for sure if you're a hot team.

We've only gotten to Omaha once while going on the road during the Super Regional Era... 2004.

Y'all can keep making this excuse for Paul, but it doesn't make it true. Does Paul throw his weekend starters, no. Does he handle the bullpen a little different than a weekend series, sure. But to act like Paul uses these games as extra practice, or that he plays all the young guys to get them experience is just false.

Didn't we beat College of Charleston at the Box? To my knowledge, LSU has never won a road super

You may be right. I know we weren't a national seed that year.

ETA: You were close. We hosted the super but vs Texas A&M.

Don't get me wrong, getting a top 8 seed would be great. But the most important thing is getting a regional which should happen barring a meltdown.

The way college baseball is these days, 2-4 of the national seeds probably won't even make it out of their regional. It happens every year.

I think we've only played in two road supers total, Alabama in 99 and Rice in 02.
