When Pap hit the homerun in the 8th, it looked like the Rice pitcher threw his hands up as soon as the ball left the bat. I can't tell if it was intentional or just his motion but either way it made me laugh.

That was him having an "oh chit...that's a goner" moment.

Breaking in my 3rd LSU PBP radio guy. I'm happy with him. Most of you probably only remember Jim, but John F started it for me.

That Blair call gives me chills. Instant classic.

Thanks to whoever laid it over the game video.

Maybe I'm a cynic, but that home run call sounded exactly like someone faking excitement.

You seem to know a lot about someone faking excitement.

It's like the ump really didn't want to ring him up but it was a perfect pitch. They both knew what had just happened. gotta call it.

I was doing yard work with headphones on. Started waving my fists and jumping up and down when I heard that. Scared the hell out of the dog.

Both homerun calls were good. A buddy of mine and I were talking about this but his inconsistencies are so glaring. He takes forever in relaying what it is that's actually happening. I have to listen to the crowd to find out if what's happening is good or bad.

Hoping he gets better and he grows on me, too.

Not gonna say that goes right up there with the Hawthorne-Morris call, but Blair's call was awesome. Gave me chills. Plus the crowd in the background. I think Blair is a Tiger now. Most emotion I've heard from him all season. The game ending call was pretty great too.

If it didn't, it came pretty damn close from what I could tell.

See, this is why I felt better about this game. Even though we were struggling to score runs early on we were still making defensive plays that we weren't in the previous game. We looked liked LSU in this game.

Tremendous defensive plays, good pitching, then the bats rallied deep into the game.

We absolutely could have prevented 3-4 runs in the prior game if we had been on our game defensively.. but that doesn't matter now, because we won yesterday!

I'm just thrilled we won.

We got some timely hitting too, especially from K Rob.

Greatly appreciate OP. Only way to follow game last night was thru TD thread; seeing the highlights here helped a lot.
