1. University of Mississippi: "Simply put, an Ole Miss Saturday in the Grove is tailgating at its finest...the elegant tailgate setups with centerpieces, silverware and a feast as southern as Mississippi."

I heard it was sandwich platters from Walmart and plastic candelabras. Did I hear wrong or is this considered an "elegant" tailgating setup?

been there for a big ten game, and no. a very solid showing, nfl style tailgating in the grass field lots, but not nearly the spectacle of our on campus tailgates with huge groups and mucho atmosphere

I can understand ole miss, but penn state? Kind of surprised. Never been there though so I can say, but I doubt they have twice as many people tailgaiting on campus on gameday than can fit in the stadium.

no way. we waited until kickoff to head in, and the fields were dead. nada. granted, it was 30 degrees, so i wouldn't stay either.

Any stadium not 'on' campus, surrounded by giant parking areas (fields in this case), is not going to have the type of atmosphere as LSU or the grove for that matter

If what you do is described as elegant, you lose, period.

Ole Miss gets credit because they have the grove. The tailgates are mostly setup in one place. LSU is more spread out. But no open flame, drink it a cup, and have your ice chest locked sucks. In other word there food in cold chicken fingers on walmart plates.

How is this possible?

- I don't want to wear long-johns and thermal coats in October to tailgate.

- I can't play beer pong if the beer freezes before the cups are made

- I like my tailgate food have some flavor to it

- I don't like my women with kankles

- I don't want to have to run a generator for a space heater. How am I going to cook jambalaya?

- I don't like my women pale.

- I don't want to worry about passing out somewhere in the cold and dying of frostbite.

- I don't like my women in heavy jackets and thermal wear. How can I tell if they're fat or not?

I have been to many of what PSU calls tailgates. I can say unequivocally that LSU and the SEC in general knows what's up. The people at PSU are just pretending. It is NO WHERE NEAR as much fun, as much awesome food, hot chicks and just plain awesomeness.

Good thing they didn't rate the fans at the actual game.

Nah, you just think that because that is what the average LSU fan would do.

Just like our girls wear sundresses and yours wear "jirts"......our guys wear sports coats and yours wear "jorts" and flip-flops.....

Oh, well, not telling you anything you don't already know yourselves......

youre a dumbass. half our girls wear sundresses and half the guys dress up to games in khakis and polos. the difference between the 2 is our gdis dont dress up to games and yours do. I love seeing ole miss fans with spiked up hair trying to dress fratty. the 2 dont mix

eta: anyone with money can see through your fans trying to act like theyre part of that world. I know a couple of them that are legit, but ole miss is where people too dumb to get into their sec homestate's school go, not where the south's elite go.

Ole Miss tailgating is really overrated, I've been the last 3 years. Media makes a big deal of it because of how it looks on the outside. It's really just a bunch of people crammed together in a small area with tents. Food is all catered, mostly Abners (there version of cane's), Chick Fillet, and McAllisters.
