i noticed last night several instances where players pointed fingers at one another, blaming them for something, I saw Keiland do it twice, once towards JJ. they looked frustrated much of the night.I hope this gets better.

Biggest improvment is always from the 1st game to the 2nd. The 3rd and Chavis crap was driving me nuts last night though. I understand we had 0 tape on them and they had 4 years of tape on us to prepare but damn get it fixed already.

I saw that too. It was so disappointing. I believe Ciron was doing it as well. I thought the team would be on the same page. Then again, I thought the entire defense would be flying around knocking the shite out of people too.

Maybe the time zone difference played a role in their frustration. Maybe they were tired since the game started at 9:30 Central.

But in any event, this needs to get fixed or we will be surprised by Vanderbuilt.

Agree.

Double edged sword with KW.
If that's symptomatic of a discipline issue (i.e., akin to LaFell facebook saying he wished they'd throw more to him) it will be a problem.

If as a senior it indicates KW stepping up intensity and focus, it could be good. I thought Keiland looked better than CS last night. Maybe this will be his year. I also think the I-formation with CS at FB, KW at TB running some option could be GREAT! I am hoping after the exposure to game tape of GaTech last year that we'll add that wrinkle to our arsenal.

One of the finger pointing instances appeared to be a requisite fake h/o to KW with a right rollout. Instead JJ gave a half arse fake, dropped straight back, and nearly got sacked for a deep loss. Made it look like KW missed a protection block. If JJ blew the assignment there, I can understand KW's reaction.

They also had unlimited practice time while we were limited b/c our classes had already started. I did learn at least one thing from the Davie/Jones inane banter.

Why wouldn't we have ANY tape on them? Not being funny ... is it that hard to get or something?

Every one is high on Williams but he looks the same to me. Looks like he is afraid of contact.

The pre-game reporting had that Chavis and co. were splitting time studying UW film from last year to scout personnel and USC film to scout playcalling scheme.

Hopefully that is just a first game thing and doesn't continue, if it does then this will only get worse and become a cancer on the team.

On that play Ciron Black totally let his guy run by him when he for no reason went to his right to double team someone and his guy nailed JJ.

Yeah. It can go both ways. It can be trying to be a leader with "you need to straighten that shite out" fingerpointing or it can be passing the buck "I didn't do it ... it was your fault" fingerpointing.

I thought he took it up the middle with much more conviction and definitely looked way better.
