LSU Isn't a blue blood. #9 is just fine.

A top 10 alltime program is a blue blood.

I've been here telling you folks for years LSU is, and always will be a "Tier 2" program in CFB.

The Mulligan Bowl after our 2011 season solidified that.

If LSU were a "Blue Blood" or Tier 1 Media Darling, a rematch would have never happened. They would have played Oklahoma State.

OR...

Had Oklahoma State just been regular old Oklahoma, LSU would have played them.

Looking back, 2011 pretty much solidified who the blue bloods were in two conferences if anyone was paying attention.

Anyway, back to your fantasies...

Sounds like a Natty and a John Heisman this year gets us in!!! Something to shoot for.

Actually Florida St was lower than LSU. Nebraska was #8

I was about to question why FSU was up there. List seems accurate enough. I agree with Pirate though... who makes a top 8 list?

I think 9 is a little generous. Before I opened the link I put my list of 8 down and missed on Nebraska. They have the history but I gave a little more weight to past 10 or so years. I would have Fl St in over them but realize they weren't a big time program until Bobby Bowden took over.

Solid list, I always put us just outside blue-blood but top 10.

Without looking

Alabama
Oklahoma
USC
Ohio state
Notre Dame
Florida state
Texas
Michigan

LSU

Without looking it up, I'd put us ahead of Michigan.

And that would make ZERO sense...

Michigan has won more college football games than any other team EVER.

Reason for putting LSU ahead of Michigan????? That's just stupid. Unless you think college football started in 2007......

TRUE... If you quantify "lately" as since the '60s.

What? That is not what 1/9 proved. 1/9 proved that if Oklahoma State had been one of the blue bloods then no way are they left out. Bama getting in didnt prove anything about lsu.
