I don't want to see Jimbo or fedora....guys are are north if 50 already.

We need to build the future and create a new energy and identity. HERMAN is that in spades. If we can't get him we need to look at other guys around the same age.

You often get what you pay for, so hopefully the search people know what they really want. A bargain or a real coach?

Of those, I like Jimbo immeasurably more. In fact, if we're firing Miles right now, I'd like it to be:

Herman, then Jimbo. After that, I'd almost rather offer Aranda the chance to go after it and just see what a change can do.

I mean, Freeze is under 50. Whittingham (who is probably better than Fedora, too, just FTR) would not be my first choice, but that's another young HC possibility. I don't see either as a home run, IMHO.

I agree with this! Put everything you got into the Herman Basket. If it doesnt work go get Josh McDaniels from New England!!!

I agree with what Booger McFarland said, we should go after lane kiffin, a good young offensive minded coach who can recruit just as good or probably better than les miles

Why isnt no one talking about Major Applewhite?? Baton Rouge born n raised, hell of a quarterback, knows how to call plays, and by the looks of it he probably can and will get a real quarterback here and develop him. Just my thoughts

Disagree with Kiffin...bad history as head coach. If not Herman, I'd be happy with a non-marquee name as long as he was a solid head coach elsewhere, not as an assistant.

Right now:

Make Aranda the head coach and defensive coach.

Keep Cam as offensive head coach.

This means multiple good things:

1. LSU has youthful leadership.
2. There is minimal turnover of key staff members. Everyone that remains is already indoctrinated into LSU policies and practices.
3. This lets the 2017 commits know the matter has been handled and they already know the coaches that are left.
