These polls are meaningless. I really don't know why they put out this crap. The playoff committee's rankings will more than likely not mirror any of these crappy polls.

lol. Maybe but you do realize bama lost just a few weeks ago. They show a tendency to give up big plays and are vulnerable. I love the emotional overreaction of 1 win against an overrated team with no QB. You're probably the same people that sell when the stock market goes down for a week.

Tradition. The AP ran its first football poll in 1934 and for more than 80 years fans have waited breathlessly every week to see where their team is ranked. They sell newspapers and give web sites hits so they are not going away.
