Hi Tiger Fans,
I realize there may be some confusion as to the two groups in the Jackson, MS area, so we wanted to be clear that any and all Tiger fans are welcome to join. You do NOT have to be an Alum to become a member and/or attend our events. We are not the group that meets every Monday night, but we do also love to gather and support our Tigers through our view-ins, Socials, Crawfish Boils, Freshmen Send-Off Party and other fundraising events for the LSU Jackson Scholarship.

Our view-ins will again be held at Capitol Grill this year. 5050 I55 North Frontage Road, Suite F, Jackson, MS 39211. We will have view-ins for the following games:

-Mississippi State, 6:00 p.m.
-Florida, time TBD
-Ole Miss, time TBD
-Alabama, time TBD
-Tennessee, time TBD

For information on how you can become a member of both the LSU Alumni Association and TAF for only $50, visit LINK .

Please email us at lsujacksonalum@gmail.com for any questions, comments or concerns or visit our FB page for the most current information: @LSUMetroJackson

Thanks and Geaux Tigers!

There is a group that meets weekly? I'm all for escaping the wife and getting drunk but that's ridiculous

Excellent...just a couple of hours ago, I was having some barbecue at the spot in Ridgeland and was wondering where you guys were meeting now.

I'm heading to starkvegas this weekend, but plan to watch with the group later in the season.

Indeed. But, be careful. In the past, the other local group looked down upon our group for allowing our guests/members (grown adults 21+) to have the option to purchase an alcoholic beverage.

Yep, we were exploring other view-in options, but Capitol Grill has always accommodated us and made sure to put our games on. Unfortunately, you can't say that about a lot of other places here!

Hopefully you and all of the other Tiger fans can shut up Stingray and bring back a W from Starkville. We will see you for the other view-ins!

Awesome! Yes, please find us on FB. We are working on updating our website (lsujackson.org) with all of this Fall's events, so FB is the best place to look for info on view-ins, socials, etc.

We have been working to get more Tiger fans together in the area and out to events, so please spread the word and feel free to bring others with you!

Yes, may do that on Saturday since I'm not going to Starkville for the game!

So how is "that other group" not associated with TAF, when their principal figure was recognized on the field before the game last week along with others for their long association and support by TAF?

I never said, nor did I mean to imply, that they were not associated with TAF. They are a great support to the Athletics program. We are simply trying to garner support in the area and bring Tiger fans together in an effort to support both LSU Athletics and LSU as an University.

Yep and there is nothing wrong with that. We hope that all LSU fans in the area will support both of our groups!

Thanks for posting this, I just moved in to the area in May. Things are kind of crazy at the moment, but hopefully I can find a game this season to come and hang out.

I know it can be confusing, but wanted to shed some light on the issue and make sure everyone knew that ALL were welcome. Alumni, Alumni by Choice, friends, fans, etc. If it helps, we have several members (and board members) that are not Alums, but wish to support the University as we all do.

Well if you get an email from Nationals about our view-ins then you should be good! Membership to the LSUAA will actually get you into the LSUAA/TAF Tailgate Parties before home games, so I know it can be confusing. Either way, you're welcome to come join us at our events here locally!
