Boy this is some bulletin board material if I've ever seen it. I've been thinking about Auburn all week and still this article manages to get me riled up.

LINK

quote:

For starters, you had some offensive issues early on against a Tennessee team that hung around with you for far too long. I like the whole Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson combo, but the way they switch off worries me when it comes to your offensive rhythm.

quote:

Alabama will play in and win the national championship.

So it has been written. So it will be done.

quote:

So I thank the rest of the country for showing up, but we have our national champ. Feel free to finish out the season and send someone down to New Orleans in January, but cherish those bowl gifts because that's all you're getting, outside of Tide-induced pain.

Maybe you can get an autograph or two out of it.

This phrase has always bugged me when it comes to football. You play one game a week, you shouldn't ever need bulletin board material. For the Alabama game, you should be able to watch the Sarah McLachlan dying animals commercial all day and still be in a mood to tear someone's head off.

I read EA's article on ESPN too. Surprising. Use to like him. Now, not so much.

Well obviously I'm not the coach or on the team and I seriously doubt that they need any motivation. I called it that for lack of a better term.

I really like this comment. I'm old and probably not as smart as some of these kids on this site, but I really believe in this team. Time will tell.

I haven't seen one so-called "expert analyst" pick LSU over Alabama. I seem to recall almost an entire line of O's when the experts picked the Oregon game this year. I really don't see why everyone thinks it is a foregone conclusion that LSU loses to Bama. I spent the season thinking it was going to be a close game, but the more I look at the teams and their strength/weaknesses the better I feel about an LSU victory. I think LSU will bring an intensity of play that Bama will find hard to keep up with.
