LSU is the easiest school for a coach to win at in the West. The amount of high school talent in Louisiana is ridiculous. LSU is the only major football program in the entire state and it is not even close. Bama competes with Auburn for instate recruits. Same with the Mississippi and Texas schools. Arkansas does not have the talent level of Louisiana.

LSU is setup like a gold mine. There is no excuse for Miles not to be more successful than he is. Saban improved football factlities and started the trend for the best instate talent to come to LSU. Miles continued the instate talent attending LSU trend but has failed to achieve elite success. If Saban would have stayed there is no doubt in my mind he would have accumulated at least a total of 4 national championships by now (from his players 2006 and 2007 for sure.)

There is one group of fans that are perfectly happy with a 3-4 lost season. They are ok with Chick fil-a and Capital one bowl appearances. These people likely attended LSU during the 90's and thus are content with a 7-5 to 10-2 seasons. Miles is the coach to achieve this level of success. These fans are currently saying "be careful what you wish for"

There is the other group that realizes what LSU could have been like the last ten years if Saban would have stayed. They want LSU to achieve this type of success but they know Miles is not the coach to accomplish this. They are not satisfied with anything but elite status.

The real question is would you rather watch LSU rise to it's full potential or are you ok with mediocre-above average football seasons?

So all we have to do is get the greatest college coach of all time.

I'll forward this to Alleva.

While the instate talent is great Louisiana doesn't produce near enough QBs, Olineman, LBs or Dlineman.

Alabama has to compete with Auburn for instate recruits.

LSU competes with zero instate schools.

I'm ready for the tough questions.

funny then how we have a 4-7 SEC West record over the last 2 years with that great recruiting? What could be the issue (hint: see sig quote)

Because Alabama is definitely a better historical program than LSU, that makes me not a fan?

Yes, that makes a lot of sense

The difference is lack of production from the front 7 and O-line.

Please leave recruiting talk to people that actually follow it.
