LSU is ranked 5th. Anyone else think this is the most fun season.

No expectation, house money. Made everyone eat their words. Top 5. Recruiting class is awesome and only getting better.

We are building a dynasty. Starts in 2022.

In hindsight nothing compares to 2019. If this season ends with the hardware, it would be hard to beat.

I feel like 2019 ended in championship or bust after we beat Alabama. This is just a different feeling.

2019 you knew was a fluke. While fun as hell, it had no chance to sustain because of the retard at the helm.

This you can tell is building towards something better no matter the end result of these next few games. We have an outstanding coach and we’re setting a foundation for long term success

Reminds me a little of ‘01. Tough start but the team discovered itself along the way. Upended a team on its way to “bigger things” in the SEC Championship. Here’s to history repeating itself.

ETA: Holy shite that was 21 years ago. So lucky to have lived a generation of exceptional and fun LSU football. We may not have as many NCs as Bama but it’s been a hell of a ride and almost anyone would gladly trade places with us.

2019 was magical. That will never be topped by anyone in college football, let alone us. Nobody quite saw that season coming either, even though there were more expectations for that team than this one.

Well past my 7-5 expectations with greater promise ahead.

1-0 each of next 3 games is my interest but nothing is going to change this awesome year 1 of BK era.

You’re exactly right. A little bit like 05, 06, 07 as well. By then, we had already arrived, but LSU was asserting itself as a dominant force every weekend on the national landscape. We weren’t surprised by the results, but it was still refreshing on a national scale to see every game.

This feels like another come up.

This is the fun part.

If Kelly does what he looks capable of doing, we will grow spoiled. Don’t forget these days

I was thinking about this the other day. Imagine the improbable happens. What if LSU were to go to the playoffs and somehow win? What next? What could top this?

I'm not complaining, and I know there's a really small chance of the playoff this year. In a sense, playing K-State in the Sugar is probably the most fitting ending to the season.

Thoroughly enjoying this season.

I just love the inconspicuous workmanlike attitude of this team.

The swag that past teams (2019, 2011) have had is fun to watch, but this seems more sustainable

I came into the season with no expectations. I was hoping to see the team improve throughout the season. I figured we were 6-7 win team. After leaving the Superdome I had a lot of doubts about the depth of this team

I have been very pleased with this team. It seems that the Tennessee game was a turning point. I watched the Florida game and was very happy with the play of JD and the offense.

If you are only talking about regular seasons, 2011 was my favorite LSU football season ever. I realize the BCSCG fiasco ruined the overall season for most — but I will never forget the high of the season.

2019 was also a great regular season, but I liked 2011 more.

This season is all house money. So much fun, no stress at this point. I don’t think we’ve got the guns to beat UGA but just being there is a fricking treat.

Well..if we somehow make it to the playoffs and win it all…they should definitely make a movie about it…and Kelly should be made King of the Universe for a day.

It’s been fun with the little expectations.

Very similar situation to the pelicans last year. No expectations to get in the playoffs or to beat the suns, but ppl were still going crazy at the games.

You'll are forgetting our history against Georgia in the regular season and SEC championship. We own them.
