Today they will finally be facing a #3.
Didn’t LSU face Tennessee’s No. 3 in the second game against them?
It’s was 2-0 LSU for most of that game. Wind, no wind. Great staff or bums, LSU just hasn’t been hitting that well in the CWS. Until yesterday, the pitching has largely carried LSU to this point.
The odds were against the bullpen (including Ack) turning in multiple great performances. The odds were also against the hitting (somewhat) struggling for 7 games. Hopefully that trend will break today like it did for the pitching yesterday

It's almost like they're facing the top pitchers in the country. Funny. I guess that's how it works in the CWS.

Considering we played 2 games each against 3 of the top pitching staffs in the country it’s not surprising that our team avg is that low. Our weaker hitters in the lineup are not producing against top notch pitching and the guys sitting on the bench likely wouldn’t fare much better.
Hopefully we finally get some clutch hits tonight. We’ve had one of the top offenses in the country all year. But outside of Tommy White we have not been good in the clutch these last two games.

We faced the top two pitching staffs in Omaha before this series. We weren’t going to pile on runs against those teams.
But the last two days have been bad. Both of UFs starters were totally off their game and we couldn’t put together the timely hits to take advantage of it.
