9-3 is a fireable offense. See Miles, Les.

Actually, he's an example of just the opposite. He wasn't fired after a 9-3 season in 2015. He was fired after a 2-2 start in 2016.

Florida, Auburn, and Georgia only have 4 since oct 1st. If we’re gonna compare you need to look at the records of the other teams from Oct 1 when ed O took over to do apples to apples.

Nothing, I'm just a realist.

Last year, I had faith Orgeron could salvage our season and get us to the Sugar Bowl. I was let down.

Before this year, I had faith Orgeron could make this a successful year. I was let down.

With what we've seen already through 4 games it's better to accept that this will be a 4-5 loss season now than get my hopes up for the third time.

I love how yall think accepting the inevitable means we want it to fricking happen. I'll be rooting like hell for this team to go 11-1, just like you.

I'm a realist also. Guess I just skew optimistic. I don't like what I'm seeing either.

I'm right there with you, but I'm not sure if I overestimated Orgeron, overestimated the team we have returning, or underestimated the effects of the coaching transition. I'm sure it's a combination of the three.

I hear you. Just seemed like you were going to be excited to bump a thread where someone was optimistic about the season so far.

Can we fire Head Coach Ed Orgeron and hire Interim Coach Ed Orgeron?

I'm going with 5-7 with a Toilet bowl win against BRCC

Fake News!

A) You usually have to be at least .500 to get a bowl invite
B) I've never heard of the Toilet Bowl and I don't think it exists. I think you made that up.
C) BRCC doesn't have a football team. They have baseball, softball, men's and women's basketball and cheerleading - BOOM!

Even among the self-proclaimed "realists", the reality is not hitting home yet. A four-loss season this year would be a huge and pleasant surprise. People looking at 8-4 or 7-5 as pessimistic still don't realize just how bad this team is. There is a plausible chance that we will not win a single SEC game this year. We have four unwinnable SEC games and four tossups. Even if we split the tossups, that means a 2-6 SEC record. The absolute ceiling on this season is 4-4 in the SEC.
