You do realize that the latest of those 10 win seasons was 4 fricking years ago. That’s an entire 4 year recruiting cycle

only because a game was cancelled.

we win 10 games im 2015 if mcneese ismt cancelled.

and its amazing how people like you kept saying Miles was the only thing holding lsu back and now that you see its not true you wanr to act like we are hurting for talent.

was it you that said lsu was the 9th most talented team in the sec?

This is a stat that is cherry picked to show a disproportionate amount of weaker teams because LSU has already played most of their cupcake games this year and has only played one SEC game this year, which they lost. If things don't greatly improve they are going to get ugly in a couple of weeks.

You are correct. LSU is 9-3 under Ed Orgeron. So lets take a look at that record shall we?

Missouri - W
Southern Miss - W
Ole Miss - W
Bama - L
Arkansas - W
Florida - L
Texas A&M - W
Louisville - W
BYU - W
Chattanooga - W
Mississippi St. - L
Syracuse - W

Which good team has he beaten exactly? Louisville is as close as it gets to a quality win. The only real challenges he's faced (Bama and Florida) he lost. Then he lost to MSU this year.

Just about any coach in america could beat Missouri, BYU, Chattanooga, Southern Miss and A&M with LSU's talent. Lets see how Ed handles the SEC schedule coming up before praising him for his record.

If we take out the games that were lost due to people besides O fricking up, he's really 9-0.

So after he became recruiting coordinator the talent slipped? Because that's essentially what you are saying here.

Q: Do you know when he became recruiting coordinator and how long he held that title?
A: January 14, 2016 to September 25, 2016

Q: Do you know what the recruiting coordinator actually does?
A: It's more administrative and organizational than anything. Also, the recruiting coordinator works under the direction of the head coach, so it's not like he had unilateral authority to make recruiting decisions.

But, let's set all that aside, using the theory that the recruiting coordinator is responsible the quality of recruiting class, if the 2018 class falls short, you'll be ok if the CheeriOs blame Tommy Robinson for it? That would be patently absurd, and would not fly with even the most ardent of sunshine pumpers. So let's please put this narrative to rest.

Sorry, but this "he was the recruiting coordinator" is the single most intellectually dishonest narrative on the rant right now.

His competency as a coach will be decided as to how he adapts our team moving forward. He showed a great knack to know what we had to adapt last year.

Obviously, we arent going to push anyone around on offense. How do we respond to that fact?

That determines your value as a coach. Heres hoping that happens.

Jesus, what is wrong with you? It's more fun to be right and say I told you so than watch the team win?

our fan base is so toxic that it may indeed discourage some recruits. the hatred for coach O is way overblown and the anti's are so vocal as to create an atmosphere of dysfunction where it does not exist.

Everyone should have known this would happen after the first loss. It's why you don't hire the coach with the worst winning percentage in Ole Miss history. There is no honeymoon in this situation, especially when you drop one in historic fashion to the one team you can count on to get a W against.

None of this is surprising.

He was only the recruiting coordinator for part of 2016 before taking over as HC.
