BREAKING: #LSU has hired Duke Associate Head Coach Josh Jordan. Jordan is known to be an amazing recruiter and works with catchers and outfielders. #AYS

Thank god.

In all seriousness, is this a good hire? I assume it is but I’m not very familiar with Duke baseball.

Seems to be getting praise from recruiting/scouting writers.

Has worked with Chris Pollard for a while going back to that App State team that came into the Box and took 2/3 from us.

Last year they got Alex Mooney to campus and he was a big draft risk.

Apparently Kendall Rogers is a fan of the hire.

One thing for sure is that Jay has nearly the entire country covered from a recruiting connections standpoint.

Jay - West coast
Wes Johnson - South
Josh Jordan - East coast

Seems like a great hire from everything I've read.

Jay Johnson has made 4 assistant coaching hires, & all 4 have been legit imo.

He knows what he wants in his assistants, & he always gets what he wants. I'll never panic after our top assistants get a head coaching gig.

Great thing is that he's just as good of a recruiter.

I like the hire but surely a former LSU player that didn’t do anything of note was available for the job and ready to coach a position he didn’t even play.
