Nobody has anything to back this up. But she spent 25 years at LSU under Frank Wickes (yes--I said that ). She was responsible for the most of the accolades that Tiger Band received in the 90s-00s.

Pretty much the day after she was not named as a finalist for Director of Bands, she high tailed it to University of Illinois.

LSU made a terrible decision.

so it is the rant's opinion ok I got it.

Wasn't she not even granted an interview for the Director of Bands job?

Roy is still Director of Athletic Bands. Roy bleeds Purple and Gold more than anyone knows. Linda was a different story with an agenda and really didn't give a shite about the Tigers. If people really knew the LA politics of LSU Music School, they would not believe it. Tiger Fans are lucky to have Roy- we could get new blood here that has no respect for traditions that we love as Tiger Fans....I'm speaking as someone who knows first hand... Geaux Tigers Geaux GBFTL

Roy is a great Tiger. As has been stated, he loves his tigers more than just about anyone. He is loyal as they come and is living his dream and working his dream job. However, that does not change the fact that Linda Moorehouse was more skilled at it. I can honestly say that as someone who was a Tiger Band member under both regimes. Roy King made band much more fun, but Moorehouse was far more professional. Roy has so much passion for the job and pours his soul into it, but Linda brought iron-fisted discipline. We were a better band under Moorehouse. However, both produced fantastic results with their own styles.

I was in the band for a year and Linda was the driving force of the marching band. We saw Frank on a daily basis, but mostly from an observational position. Sad to see her go!

Linda Morehouse. Huge count. And I don't use that word lightly.
