Syracuse beating Clemson won't mean a darn thing today against Auburn. Each week is an entity unto itself.

So big key injuries can hurt a strong team even if it's just one player is the conclusion.

Ahhh so the fact that we had several key injuries at several positions is a legit crutch. Got it carry on.

I doesn't matter how you spin it, Syracuse beating Clemson in any situation is a huge deal. Clemsons QB does not play on defense and the Clemson D is one of the best in the country and Syracuse shredded them.
Syracuse's offense played extremely well against us. That was a team playing it's heart out against us. Guice playing hurt didn't help.

I hear people giving a pass to teams with a bad loss (esp if its USC, FSU or Ohio St who loses). We lost to an unranked team and fell out of the top 25. Clemson will prob only drop to #5. We really could redeem ourselves with a win today. Arden is the key

Troy loss inexplicable

It's completely explicable. It's the result of LSU's nervy chutzpah in suiting up in purple jerseys that Saturday.

We could have beaten Troy easily in our regular uniforms. Just look at the UAB game in 2000 vs. the UAB game in 2013 for a proper perspective.

Ohio States loss is at home (in the shoe) so is Oklahoma's and I think Michigan got one in the big house.

The Troy game was an experiment for the offense. The coach and his staff tried to simplify things in the first half to see if the offensive line would respond and perform better. The experiment didn’t work and hind sight is always 20/20....

The Tigers got too far behind and couldn’t pull off the win as time was ticking away to zero...

The defense didn’t help much either....

Clemson's QB that is used to being involved in the run game, couldn't run because he was injured. He then went out before halftime with a pretty big time concussion.

It’s funny how Clemson gets a pass in a loss because they lose one player....(although I understand how critical a QB is to the offense)...

....but coach O and his staff get no credit (in a win) whatsoever for losing multiple key players at critical positions on both sides of the ball...

Might want to pump the breaks about saying how great of a win it was winning in Tiger stadium rather than at Syracuse where Clemson played them.

So what you are saying is QB play has everything to do with wins and losses?

Nope - he nailed it - wasn't humorous, just pretty bad and hard to read.

Yes, the disappointment is definitely with TS crowd. Coming off the worst loss to MSU in LSU history - likely due to looking ahead - you would figure the crowd would be pumped for the 'Cuse. I mean, shite, Syracuse had just beat Central Michigan in convincing fashion after losing to Middle Tennessee the week prior.

Luckily, LSU handled the 'Cuse juggernaut. Unfortunately it took a toll and LSU had to face mighty Troy the next week. It was coming though, LSU had won 46 consecutive games against regular season OOC opponents through most of Saban and entire Miles tenures. It's completely understandable Coach O would lose one in his first 3 OOC games.

In all honesty, if LSU wasn't looking ahead to the Syracuse game and spent from the Syracuse win, there is no way LSU gets the sandwich losses to MSU and Troy. I mean, Syracuse beat Clemson, come on.

I sense sarcasm.

Bottom line, Syracuse was a good win, and it's disappointing how dead Tiger Stadium was for them.

LSU fans would complain about being hung with a new rope.
