I have never said that Miles hasn't had the best tenure at lsu. I have repeatedly said he is a top 5 coach and lsu plays in the toughest division in the toughest conference in the country. The last 5 years it's been Saban>>>>>>>>>over everyone else in the conference. BUT miles needs to win BIG this year. And he has had a team that should have won big last year and FAILED when it mattered most. When he played better teams he got stomped in November last year. That is fact. IMO there is no excuse for how bad lsu looked in the last 4 games. Yes we beat A&M but looked real bad doing it against a very poor team.there was a readon Miles job was on the line before that game. It may have inspired the team but they didn't look like it on the field.

Lsu has been decent the last 5 years. But top 16 finishes aren't gonna cut it with this kind of talent. Almost everyone at lsu would agree. Even the players on the team I am sure. The last 5 years lsu has had the same or better talent as Oregon, Florida st. Clemson, auburn, Baylor , Oklahoma, Michigan st. Ohio st. They have ALL had better seasons in the last 5 years than lsu.

In those seasons Saban had a nc the last 5 years miles has not. But don't let facts get in your way.

You can not compare the success of teams in other conferences to lsu. You dont think lsu wouldve won other conferences the last 5 years? Auburn recruits on the same level as lsu and has had a worse 5 years. Florida benefits from playing in a shite east.

Saban lost to an 8-5 ron zook florida team.
Miles lost to the greats bama team of our generation.
A team he went 1-1 againt that year.
Its ashame miles couldnt win the sec west with 3 losses like saban. He would have 8 west titles.
