It is great how much strategy goes into this as far as matchups. Jolly, all american, who has struggled all year going up against Stewart for Vandy (who finished -6 under in the weekend tournament). Basically conceding one match to win other matchups. We need both our all american seniors to come to play this afternoon.

LSU has some studs coming in next year. Could be looking at the start of a nice little run

We already have a stud. Caldwell was well under par in qualifying for sec champ to make 5 man roster and didn't make it.

back to back SEC matchups..

here's some background on Georgia

Lee McCoy is ranked #5 individual in the NCAA. He's incredible player and I suspect that he will be incredibly difficult to beat.

Even though they are the #3 seed, they are the 3rd best team in their own state and have had, quite honestly, a fairly underwhelming season.

Beyond Lee, they aren't particularly deep. Their 4th best player is barely inside the top 250 and their 2nd best player is 181.

Our 5th is ranked higher than their 2nd. I know it's not entirely telling because Georgia has REALLY played well this week - and the course in Bradenton has played to their strengths, but this is a really nice matchup for LSU.

At SEC's we were 13 under par and beat them by 15 shots (Georgia was T7 at SECs)

Jolly will likely face McCoy

Jolly has had a really solid season

We have to take care of business against Georgia...but Texas just lost. OUR HOPES HAVE GOTTEN BRIGHTER!! :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

How about updating OP to reflect semi-finals appearance.

Just a thought!

I assume the semis this afternoon will be on Golf Channel as well?
