Question: How does LSU rank 16th in TOP, the LSU offense ranks 13th in PPG, 23rd in YPG, 1st in TOs, the LSU defense ranks 12th in YPG, and yet we rank 39th in defensive PPG?

According to CFBStats.com,
LSU ranks 127th in Punt Coverage, giving up 92 yards on 4 punts (23.0 average)
LSU ranks 112th in Kickoff Coverage, giving up 602 yards on 24 kickoffs (25.08 average incl. yesterday's squib kicks).

LSU ranks 114th in kickoff returns, 195 yards on 11 returns (17.73 average)
LSU does rank 26th in punt returns with 101 yards on 7 returns (14.43 average) .... less a 69 yard TD return by Tre White, LSU averages only 5.34 yards per return

Because our shitty Special Teams give offenses short fields.

I left it in when doing the rankings, because it obviously did happen and credit is given when credit is due, but that one return in five games is clearly the outlier to the rest of our ST unit...

127th in Punt Coverage Avg.
112th in Kickoff Coverage Avg.
114th in Kick Returns Avg.

98th in Punt Returns Avg. (minus one TD return)
26th in Punt Returns Avg. (incl. one TD return)

The onsides kick as well . Game changer play and was #24 really offsides? BVP has to be on thin ice. Sooner or later poor special teams play is going to cost us and it will be a bitter pill. It's time to fix this now one way or another. It's hard to make a case for these results this far.

Not really an "outstanding" recruiter ... Hopefully he brings us solid special teams
