The two scenarios are to go 12-1 after beating Tennessee in the SEC champ with the only loss at Florida. But we are matched with Bama in the Playoff and lose.. 12-2. Bama Nat'l Champ

Or go 9-3 in the regular season with losses at Florida, at Arkansas vs. Ole Miss but still beat Bama. Lose the bowl 9-4. Clemson Nat'l Champ

Obviously the first one would be a very successful season but another Saban-induced nightmare. The 9-4 year would still be a win over Bama but a sub-par year with the talent on the team. I would personally pick 12-2 with the loss to Bama because it was a better year, but my friend says it would be too painful to lose to Bama again and would pick 9-4. I don't think a Bama-LSU meeting in the playoff is impossible.

We are not losing to Arkansas if we beat Bama. The only reason they beat us the past two years is because we came out flat.

We need to make the playoff. Losing to the gumps in the playoffs again would be galling, but under your scenario, we beat them in the regular season.

If we make the playoffs, I'd consider it a highly successful season, though I'd be frustrated with another gump loss.

We go 9-4 with this team, even beating the gumps? I'd be picketing the athletic administration building for Miles's firing.

Anybody who prefers the 9-4 scenario is a fricking idiot.

I forgot to consider this. With them not being able to give us the "L6U" mark, I'd take the playoff loss to them. I hereby change my answer.

Easy, I don't think I could survive another playoff/natty lose to Alabama. So I'd take the 9-3

This. If we beat the gumps this year, I can accept a "well at least we got to the playoffs" or the age old "10 wins is nothing to laugh at guys"....

If we don't beat bama, then the agony of being another team's continual bitch blots out any pride that comes from other successes.

Playoffs.

If we go 9-4, f CLM and Cameron. I would be legitimately upset if we went 9-4 even if we beat bama, and it would be at home so it's not like they're at an advantage to start with.

Playoffs-CLM keeps his job and LF7's legacy is worth noting

9-4-Bye CLM, LF7 always asking what could have been, still not invited to the playoff party

If we are not going to win the championship then the only thing that would satisfy my thirst is a victory against bama. I'd still take the one loss to bama and the national championship anyday.

9-4 scenario seems like a good combination. Beat Bama, but lose 4 games(with a 5-3 conference record) with a team that has no business losing 4 games, should spell the end of the Les Miles. Beat Bama and replace Miles.

Under the first scenario would Bama make the playoffs with out winning the west and making it to the SECCG again? Man, this would blow hard if 11' would happen all over again! I don't know if our program could recover from beating them in the regular season and having to match up with them again in the playoffs!!

Scenario #2 Miles is gone!
