So the assholes around here who think they know it all will be acting like they always do. Gee, what a surprise, sonnyboy. I thought you might be telling us all something new.

Has anybody ever lost enough to warrant being fired? Anyone? Anywhere? In any sport? Ever?

If so, could you name him/her?

Sure, Hallman had to go as well as Archer. Straight up wins and losses although there were other reasons that never saw daylight, just like the case of Deitzel. Dinardo had to go because he had lost control of the team and his own staff. A very weird meltdown there. Never understood how the guy could completely lose it after just a bit of adversity. Maybe he was one of those who could not handle tough spots.
Brady also had alienated everyone connected with LSU. He was a jackass. That said, had Tasmin Mitchell not been out for the year last year. LSU would have probably won 6-8 more games. When he had talent and the team was healthy, good seasons happened. Too bad he could not grow up and get that chip off of his shoulder.
But, as to straight wins and losses it would come down to Archer, Hallman, and Tinsley in football
Maravich in basketball and Jack Lamabe and Smoke Laval in baseball.

Any more than that and all capital Les got from the NC is spent as far as I am concerned. He got a mulligan from me last year mostly because of RP despite the fact that most of the woes are attributed to him promoting friends. Another year of 4 or more losses would start to give credit to the naysayer notion that he only performed as well as he did because of leadership provided by Saban recruits.

Any more than 3 losses, and there's a major problem. There's absolutely no excuse for this football program, at this point in its history, to lose nine games in two years. Even after inheriting a losing team, in no two year stretch did Saban ever lose nine games.

ETA: That said, given the new defensive coaching staff, a more stable QB situation and another year's experience for these players, I just don't see how we don't win 10 regular season games, and either the SECCG or Bowl game, which would give us 11 wins in 14 games. And we will not lose to Ole Miss or Arkansas again- book it.
