So UF with also shitty QB play, shitty run game, shitty OL, shitty WRs, good defense, wins 10 and the east, but LSU with stout OL, our usual stout run game with Fournette and Magee, and our great defense is not?

In case you forgot, both UGA and USCe are good. UF has to play Bama and us along with FSU also. How the hell do you predict 10 wins with that freakin schedule not even including all the stuff they have to fix? Sorry for getting mad, but how do you predict 10 wins being hard for us and 10 wins easy for UF with no real logic? It just seems down right crazy.

Man, who didn't predict that? We were weak as hell on D, and they were shredding everyone. I couldn't believe how well we played.

hey retard, this is what I wrote:

I never said we don't have a chance. That was someone else. Based on Les Miles' history at LSU, it is very likely we win 10 games. It'll be very difficult without a completely dominant defense, IMO.

I also like how you are just assuming that Florida will have worse QB, RB, and WR even though they have far more experience at all 3 of those positions than we do. They are also returning 4 guys who started on their OL last year, as are we.

Plus, their defense was better than LSU's in every category. And, that was with a ton of injuries and one of the worst offenses in their history. If their offense can just get into the 70s or 80s rank-wise, it'll make their defense even that much better.

If Florida can stay healthy, they are going to shock a lot of people this year. That's not to say that LSU won't win 10 games. Les Miles and LSU's history suggest that we will.

I never said they are going to be better than LSU. Calm down. But, Florida does get to play USCe, UGA, LSU, and Alabama all having to replace their starting QBs. The Florida defense is going to be a nightmare for every one of those new starting QBs.

That game was an enigma for sure. Definitely a great day for our D but we reverted right back to shitty play in following weeks. A&M was out of whack that day. I personally think JFF was banged up but that's just my opinion. He was not himself (credit our d for some of that). He couldn't hit wide open receivers. (not saying hey were wide open all day its just he missed on a lot of throws he would normally complete).

it didn't help that Rashard Robinson completely shut down Evans all game. JFF's favorite target was basically out of the picture. 4 receptions, 55 yards, and Robinson had an INT also.

Also, having a slow white guy at ILB really threw JFF for a loop. None of his normal juke/fakes worked at all on Welter. Example of Welter's awesomeness

It also rained.

And, Loston came up and put a lick on JFF almost every time he took off to run.

Also, A&M went for it on 4th down inside the 30 at least 3 times and we stopped them every time.

I really think we are going to see a 2011 type season. Our DBs are going to be really good this year. LBs should be slightly improved. Rasco and Hunter will have a better season and there will be a heavy DT rotation which will keep the middle from getting worn down.

Offensively we have one of the best OLs we've had in years and should be one of if not the best running games in the SEC and nation. The passing game will do just enough to be a positive. This team will keep it close for 3 qtrs and then wear teams down in the 4th.

11-2

2015 will be the year though.

Florida lost a dozen starters for the year due to injury at various points in the season. They had 19 starters who missed at least one game. Despite that, they had losses of:

9 points to LSU
3 points to UGA
5 points to USCe
inexcusable 6 points to Georgia Southern

They also lost to Miami by 5 in a game that they gave away with 5 turnovers.

Even with losing a dozen starters, they were a few plays away from being 8-4 or even 9-3. They are going to have an extremely nasty defense, with a better offense after getting back their starting QB, an OL, plus a few RBs that they lost along the way.

Florida will be much, much, much more competitive this year than last year.

Come on, now. Florida's wasn't anywhere close to being 8-4 or 9-3. That's just nonsense.

Florida (at least their offense) was horrific last year. And getting Driskel back won't make a bit of difference - he's just not a good SEC QB.

Now I agree their D is stout and playing them in the Swamp is never easy, but they're not good, and Muschamp isn't the answer there.

I hope Muschamp's demise puts a much needed dagger in the "coach-in-waiting" concept, especially when that coach-in-waiting has never been a head coach before, which is ENTIRELY different than being a coordinator.

The worst season in recent memory was 7-5 in 2008. For four years LSU played with great defense, great running, and average-at-best QB play.

I don't see any reason why QB play will hold LSU back from having seasons like 2009(9-3) or 2010(10-2). As long as the defense plays at an equal level to last year, I'd bet a push leaning towards the over.

Except he's not head coach at the same school he was "coach-in-waiting." And there's a head coach in the same state that was a "coach-in-waiting," who has had tremendous success.

yea, but Muschamp was coach-in-waiting at Texas, and I believe that influenced Florida to try to go get him. If he was good enough for UT, then Florida probably thought he was good enough for them.

All of this was without one single day as a head coach.

You're right, Jimbo has done very well, but I think he's the exception to the rule that a head coach with zero head coaching experience won't do well at a very high profile job.

In the vast majority of cases, good coordinators need to get head coaching experience at a smaller school and then move up, and big-time programs need to be very cautious about hiring a newbie as head coach

I was stating that they have the same terrible offensive players that they had last year, so there is nothing that points to them getting better. Experience is not enough to say a shitty offense will just automatically get better. Kurt Roper will have to have a ridiculous effect on all of them to at least pull decent in offense. They weren't good on the OL before the injury/injuries, and they didn't have good WR, RB, or QB play. Their best RB had less yards and TDs than our second best RB, and he had more carries!

They play on the road against Bama, and Bama brings back almost every running back they have. Bama QBs are game managers so why would this even matter early in the season?

USCe Thompson is a better passer than Shaw (bigger arm and great downfield), and he has incredible talent at WR, not to forget Davis, Wilds, and Williams (who people are really excited about). That team is loaded on offense.

UGA is also loaded at WR and TE and Gurley can catch and they have freaking Gurley at RB! Let's just forget the two top 8 RBs they signed also along with Keith Marshall. Oh and that Pruitt guy that took all that FSU talent in one year and made it the #2 defense in the nation.

Our defense is back and we have a stout OL so the run game behind Fournette, Magee, Hilliard, Williams, and our QBs will be potent. Don't expect them to just win because it's in the swamp. Neither team has needed a pass game to beat each other since 2008.

They also go to FSU to play the Winston Seminoles, they have a trap game on the road against UT between Bama and LSU, and they have to face Mizzu and Mauk (who shredded that great non injured secondary to pieces last year), after they play us. It's laughable to think they get 10 wins out of that grueling schedule.
