LSU Flag Flying in Martha's Vineyard

While vacationing in Martha's Vineyard, friends spotted a purple and gold LSU flag flying above the Dockside Inn. Anyone know the connection?

Yeah, the owner is an LSU grad. We met him on a trip up there a few yrs ago. As I recall, he's originally from MV...he took a trip down to BR when deciding on colleges. Said he fell in love with the ppl, food, etc and decided to attend. He loves LSU sports and said he tailgates with the crew right there on the corner of Nicholson and Skip Bertman Drive in front of the bathrooms...the tailgate that always has the opposing team's mascot strung up. He was a pretty cool dude. Tell your friends walk in and talk with him...I'm sure he would enjoy it.

I found this on Google. I can't tell 100% that it is an LSU flag, but zooming in sure looks like it.

I know a super cool lady who lives on Martha's Vineyard who is an LSU grad, but she isn't connected to the Inn.

when i read the OP, i was like hey, there is a guy we tailgated with who was an out of stater, attended lsu, started tailgating with us even while he was in school, and lives in martha's vinyard. he's come down for 1 or 2 games each year since he left. my brother and some fellow tailgaters went to his wedding up there several years back. crazy arse, cool arse dude. the tailgate in front of the bathrooms is called "hoppy's corner".
