LSU fired the greatest coach in its history

He went 114-34 in 11 seasons and won a national championship. Saban never won as many games and Cholly Mac never won a national title. Miles has the highest winning percentage of any coach who coached for three or more seasons.
Anyway you slice it he was the greatest coach in LSU history.

Yep. No doubt. LSU isn't the first and won't be the last to do the same.

You don't get tenure as a Head Coach

He isn't a great Coach.

He was a great one, that let the game pass him by...
He refused to adapt

Surely he'll come back when the national championship and the 2011 undefeated seasons are celebrated, right? I'd give him a standing O for those accomplishments.

Saban was a better coach and did more for LSU FWIW.

He was handed the keys to a Ferrari and almost converted it to a Geo Prism

What was his SEC record over the past 3 seasons? It was time for him to go.
