I can attest to this, because WA is not much different... If not worse

My cousin lives in Bend. He's always talking about whitewater rafting and snow skiing. He does filmography stuff.

unfortunately bachelor and HooDoo are closed...theres still snow everywhere and the lakes in the range are still mostly frozen but there are some great streams and rivers for rafting/canoeing. i'm actually headed up do to some canoeing in a few minutes. My uncle lives here, i try to make it once a year at least.

I used to live in Eugene and would wear something with LSU on it everywhere I went (including Autzen Stadium). This was in 2005-2008, so LSU was doing very well at the time. I was always shocked at the number of LSU fans that would stop and talk to me in Eugene, so I'm sure there are some in Portland.

I think most white people do this. So it is to be expected in Oregon, possibly the whitest state west of New England

I live in Ashland and wear my LSU shirts quite often. No one gives a shite here! But, when I wear my "Earth First! Hell yeah ... we'll log the other planets later" shirt ... the comments I get are priceless!

If Portland is the place to get some LSU love ... I'll be there in September.

Really? Which bars? I'm coming to Portland for a half marathon and need somewhere to watch the LSU v. Oregon game.

Portland was ok when I visited. It was during the summer and the temperature was in the low 90's and there were heat warnings constantly blasting from the TV and radio news. I was like, "Damn. Seriously?". Also, was amazed at the number of teenage street people. Lots of heroin addicts begging for money around our downtown hotel that the concierge was constantly running off. The natural scenery of the city was beautiful, but the female scene was nothing like the South.

Agreed, but it is interesting that they were playing LSU footage. Smart.

And most definitely yes. If it wasn't for Oregon athletics, there would only be whities!

My brother just moved to Portland today, he'll be excited to hear this. Actually, I'm driving up in a couple weeks to bring his dog and some other shite that couldn't go on the plane. Any advice on bars or restaurants I shouldn't miss?
