I loved how the coaches got on Simon about "all those picks you shouldve had"

I like thats hes harping on Simons weakness in order to fix it

Looks like we won't be using TEs in the receiving game much this year...

I bet the chatter about his cover skills not being all that great has motivated TM7.

Why would TEs be running routes with the WRs?

They were running routes at the end and dropping balls. Just like spring.

Rivers looks like he's progressing well, really hope he pans out after Mett is done

Boy, #7 is fast

He is too short to cover.

I wish desean was a part of the 2012 class, I'll take TE as our biggest weakness though.

sertorius LSU Fall Practice - Aug 3 [Morning Session] Courtesy of BBI & Geaux247 Boy, #7 is fast. There's a reason he makes plays.

I was going to say that same thing when I was watching the video. On a team of really fast guys, he just stands out as being above and beyond everyone else.

Unreal quickness. When he was making those breaks on that DB cone drill, he was cutting so fast - it is obvious why he can break on the ball like he does and force fumbles too - he is there before the ballcarrier is and knows where he is going.

Elite.

Back-to-back drops by Clement and Edwards; that's embarassing.

Thought Rivers looked good throwing.

Anyone know why Jordan Allen wasn't with the DL?

Allen is practicing in the evening. Doesn't mean he won't get playing time but they put some vets in evening for rep purposes

Love this from 247:

*** The defensive line remained the same as Thursday, with Barkevious Mingo dressed in a green no-contact jersey again (injury to his left arm).

No matter, Mingo is an absolute animal when working through the drills. No matter the drill, Mingo absolutely flies through his rep, showing off a faster speed than anyone else on defensive line - Sam Montgomery included.

Simply put, Mingo makes every other lineman look slow. Be sure to get an eye on some of our practice video to get a closer eye on that.

Nic Jacobs practiced with the vets today and caught the ball well...I bet he will get some PT this year with Clement and Edwards having butterfingers

Ferguson was loafing in the second vid and almost got his ankle stepped on inadvertanly.

Also, they need to change his jersey number to a real DL number.
