Mallett and Snead are not student/athletes as they transferred solely because of Athletics and not Academics.

On the other hand LSU has the youngest student/athlete QB in the conference.

If this doesn't make LSU the underdog in the game, prove it.

wow. 99% of them are "athlete-students", our QB just went to the school he liked on his first try

Les Miles alone makes us an underdog...the QB situation just makes us more of an underdog.

Sorry, but we will not have a good qb next yr, JJ is not the answer & the coaching is not helping!

QB development has been absolutely abysmal at best. JJ has talent, look at his HS career.

lol. rantard. his stats are just as good as Russell's were as a sophomore and Jordan is a true sophomore (Russell was a RS), Russell played more than JJ did as a freshman, and Russell had a damn good run game and o-line to help him.

this is relevant because no other players at any school are just there for the sport they play. Those two guys are definitely not the norm, not at all.

Hasn't Jefferson started more games then Mallett?

Russell understood the offense better and didn't take the delay of game penalties or hold the ball for 5 or 6 seconds. Respect for the passing game makes running game much better. Tiger opponents don't respect JJ's ability to pass. See how they beg Tigers to throw. Delay of game penalties occur because JJ has to be told protection and what play to check into. He constantly misses open receivers.
Didn't know they taught so much football at band camp. You need some balls.

because they know they can stop the run with 4 because the offensive line can't open a whole.

I may have been in the band but I'd make you my bitch in any football discussion. Happy Thanksgiving though!

yes,JJ has started as many as Mallett. Mallet understands his offense, read progressions, and check into the correct play. He doesn;t hold the ball 5 or 6 seconds.
He knew this in hs.

really? he never checks into plays at the line? like the TD against UGA to seal the fricking game? Kid is young and still learning. If you don't see that with good coaching he could be ATLEAST as good as Flynn and Mauck (who won championships as a 5th year senior and a 24 year old) then you're crazy.
