When was the last season LSU has such a huge dropff in talent from its ace to the rest of the pitchers? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking '94 w/ Scott Schultz.

You think pitching is the problem after one game? Thanks for not watching any other game this year.

If a lack of quality pitching isn't a major reason for this crash & burn, care to explain why LSU only managed to sweep 2 SEC series? Nola was responsible for 1 win/ weekend series except for @ UF.

Injuries to Reynolds and Newmann and Cody Glenn sucking killed us this year. Tons of talent in the bullpen, not enough depth

Or Mainieri likes to concede games in the 3rd for some reason.

We scored less than the other teams.

Yes, pitching inexperience is a major factor in this regional loss.

They went on a tear because the bats got hot, but pitching was never good enough to win a long weekend like this without the hits rolling in.

Yes, those contributed to the lack of depth late in the season.

We have one of the best era's in country. It's our coach making dumb arse decisions, taking out a hot pitcher last night, and putting in a guy tonight who hadn't pitched in a whole month. Frickin idiot!

Yes, and when there wasnt hits, LSU lost because they struggled on the mound....

Most shutouts in school history this year. We have a lot of talent guys, just not enough to make it through the postseason.

Maybe I could have worded it better

LSU had enough pitching to win the Regional.

Where are the bats?

How good is Hunter Newman?

Just trying to get a good read on how good we could be next season. Obviously a lot rides on our big recruiting class
