for Brando that I don't see happening.

I hope they pick a up and comer. Who has a distinct voice who would be the voice of the Tigers for a new generation of tigers to grow up with.

If he was younger, ULM's Frank Hoffman would be ideal. He has a classic voice and has been announcing ULM/NLU games since the 1970s. LSU needs to find a guy with a John Ferguson type of voice.

Like many others, I would hope for a new voice--who cares how all those local guys feel if LSU brings in an outsider. And probably none of these local guys would leave out of disgust if that was done.
LSU is a big time university and should be able to attract a top notch candidate.

Charles Hanahgriff is good for baseball!! NNNOOTT Football. He has very little voice inflection and can't tell a story with his voice. He will most likely do baseball not football and basketball.

Nothing gave me "TV goosebumps" like Ron, mike and Adrian.
"Has 5. Has 10. Count it off at 14"
"And our new score..."
And my all time favorite, "and the pass is picked off! That's donaldson! And HE WILL SCORE!"

Clay Matvick would be a good choice.

You see Brando giving up his TV gig to opt for sitting in the Alex Box press box calling an LSU-Nicholls St midweek game? Obviously there are more glorious elements to the LSU job but this would seem to be a major career step backward for Brando that I don't see happening.
These are the people that think we can hire gruden to get out from behind the desk.
For whatever reason people think anything LSU related is the end all and nothing else is better.

Jay Walker, current voice of the UL-L Ragin' Cajuns. The melt would be epic!

Miles will have a position waiting as a football analyst after he retires from coaching, if he so chooses. He is very entertaining, and despite what a lot of you actual dumbasses think, he is highly intelligent.

I like Tim Brando. But, as a talk show host or guest, he digresses so many times and for so long, it's impossible to hear a concise, direct story.
I'd imagine something like, "Here's the snap - and I'll never forget the snap in 2012 in one of the home games when the LSU QB received the ball and handed it off to the RB, that RB was very, very good, by the way. He's playing in the pros now. Anyway, it was a heckuva play. Oh, what happened after the snap, here? I missed the play."

And he's the most prolific name dropper in sports outside Pat O'Brien. And his ego....it's pretty big.
