Kent St had an average offense, yet still moved the ball up and down the field. Against top offensive SEC teams like Georgia comin up. I'm a lil concerned.

They moved the ball. They just didn't score because LSU stiffened up when they got down in their terrotory. Don't know what you were watching.

Yet we're #3 in the SEC and #10 in the country.

You do know that Kent St has 2 legit running back huh? Both had 1000+ yards last season and our d held them to 50 yards rushing.

Kent state's, tcu, uab... All their gameplans were to not shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers. They knew the only way they would have a chance is by executing that and not giving lsu more opportunities.

Dump passes, running back draws, screens ... Gimmick plays that went for on average 3 or 4 yards ... Lsu's defense will give up those more times than not. A couple of times our DBS were caught sleeping or the other team just made a play, but for the most part our EXTREMELY YOUNG defense made the plays and forced three and outs.

So much attention is called to our D bc we can't complain about the O now. T'wasnt always so

The defense will be fine. We've been playing a lot of young guys trying to replace everyone that went to the NFL. We will have all the studs locked down by the end of the Auburn game if not by now. We have the #3 Defense in the the SEC while playing really young guys. By mid-season this D will be on of the greats.

they had under 250 yards for the game. LSU had 27 players who recorded defensive stats during the game. They have a couple of good players and made a few plays, but they didn't "move up and down the field".

McCarron makes a living on dump passes to his RB's. If you're not stoppin now against weak teams. That's a problem. But folks can laugh on, I don't care.

248 yards is moving the ball up and down the field?
