Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis is doing work and is allowing stadiums to fill to capacity.
quote:

SEC football is currently being played in reduced-capacity stadiums. One program, however, now has the green light from the state to change that.

Andy Slater of FOX Sports 640 shared Wednesday that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has lifted attendance restrictions in the Sunshine State. The Miami Dolphins, for instance, can allow up to 65,000 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Slater added that the Dolphins aren’t increasing attendance yet, and will still limit it to 13,000 fans.

The news has many fans of Florida’s college football teams wondering if increased attendance could be coming to those stadiums.

SEC associate commissioner Herb Vincent reminded Matt Hayes that the conference allows schools to set attendance. Florida made 17,000 seats available for the Gators’ home-opener against South Carolina, though it did not sell all available tickets.

Demand for tickets figures to be increased for Florida’s next home game when permanent SEC West rival and defending national champion LSU comes to Gainesville on Oct. 17.

UF’s policy for Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (The Swamp) will be closely watched with the latest news from the governor’s office. Fans will also be watching to see if this means more people will be allowed at TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, for the Florida-Georgia game on Nov. 7.

Tiger Stadium will remain at limited capacity for the foreseeable future.

frick it. This season is FUBARed, anyway. I’d like to see how Myles and co. respond to playing, not just in a full crowd on the road, but a full crowd in general. They’ll be able to feed off the energy regardless of it’s at the Swamp or Death Valley. Let’s see how they handle it.

Despite this I’m banking on the Florida administration to frick this up over political and pr pressure. Hell cable news chastised LSU for merely allowing alcohol and bypassing temperature checks

If this in some way eventually helps DeSantis on a 2024 run, I’ll allow it.

I don’t expect UF admin to allow full capacity, but I would practice like they’d be expecting it.

Vote Democrat and you get Democrat.

Show the frick up at the polls. New Orleans has a Dumbass running the show that thinks it’s better to keep her city shut down and pander for federal aid instead of letting her citizens earn.

Hmmm if only there was a way to distinguish between parties that relied on government aid and another that relied on their citizens to earn for themselves. Hmmmm

Zero chance that happens. They aren’t going to risk an outbreak on campus that could shut down the school and screw their football team + other SEC teams.

The only difference that makes is that we lose by 4 touchdowns instead of 2.

Bummer.

Well, I vote Republican, but I wish you were right. Both parties are ladling out money to their supporters. The Dems pay lazy people and the Repubs pay corrupt business leaders.

I vote Republican because the Dems pay a different set of corrupt business leaders on top of paying the lazies.
