O and Miles are good friends. Miles has attempted to bring him in before.

O has already turned down a couple small school HC opportunities.

Lots of chatter that O will replace Brick when he leaves for the NFL in January.

It would be an interesting hire. Obviously from reading this thread and others some would love it and others hate it. Orgeron is a polarizing fellow.

Coach O on 104.5 this week said he wants a headcoaching opportunity. He said he would take a DL job at a big school if that was his best option, but he really wants to be a head coach.

That always seems to get overlooked, and it's despite the recruits that were brought there.

No. if Haley leaves, we HAVE to go after this guy.

Craig Kuligowski

He is a DL guru, and gets the best out of all his guys. I'm talking lowly 2 and 3 star guys having good NFL careers.

If not Coach O, give me:

Kris Kocurek

Detroit Lions DL coach. Let him learn under Chavis and take over as DC when Chavis retires. He wants to be a DC.

This dude can change the attitudes of our entire Defense given the opportunity! He can recruit his butt off too and the guys from N.O. Love him for some reason. Has connections in Cali, MS, Tenn, and here in La. I think it's a no brainier!!! Instant revival of our D of he comes in?!!

I agree. It doesn't even look right when offensive players are effortlessly weaving through our defense. It's like watching someone holding their hand in a fire without getting burned.

Anyone know why Orgeron left LSU to attend Northwestern State to play football during his playing days?

I have read Coach O say that Cholllie Mac wanted him to play Center and O wanted to play DL so that's why he transferred.

I would fully endorse that hire. Brick has been getting fat and happy the past few years.

In the chess match of SEC coaching would be a gambit that mirrors Saban's hiring of Kiffin. Would surely upset the equilibrium of this board.

I like Orgeron, but firing Brick Haley would be stupid. It's a good thing that most of y'all dumbasses have nothing to do with the team.
