I think LSU is in an underdog role, with solid claim to the Championship

how can anyone rate this team in the top 20 given its horrid offense and no QB?

Because this is about this coming season not last season!

You don't have any fkn idea how the QB's will perform this year

And neither does Vegas..............

To answer your question, this may be the most TALENTED offensive team LSU has ever had,

You sure are expecting a lot here...... You have nothing to say here that proves this will happen.. The only evidence you have is what happened last year.. The potential is there for it to be really good.....But last year the O was not that good... That's a fact... Why did it take till the 12th game for some imagination to come out with AJ running the ball so much??? Just like in the Bowl game.. They FINALLY made some adjustments and used the TE.. It worked all 5 times they tried.... Why wait so long to try something different??? TRust in the QB?????? All I know is that Harris should be the starter just based on his instincts. He has shown he can do more on the field tha AJ no matter who they were playing.... Cam and Les need to open up the offense earliar in the season... Its a chess game and they are NOT fooling anyone with this stagnant offense.....

Tigerinthehollow: Thanks. I agree with you completely. I love LSU & can't condemn them. I root for them instead of against them. I respect their play and sportsmanship. Miles is a great recruiter& loses a lot to the NFL each year.

Their success the past 10 yrs is wonderful. His QBs are selected to orchestrate the power running game not to run a "throw a lot " offense. Hell, anyone can see that by the number & quality of RBs he gets yearly. The run is Les' style - I'm good with it.

You area a great fan... As am I... But if I see something that sunshine pumpers are talking out their arse I correct them.... As A GREAT fan of LSU I also retain the right to say what is really going on that blind homers won't see... The coach makes $5 mill a year... 8-5 sucks making that kind of money.... Hopeflly they will turn it around and have a great season[10-2 11-1........

Why don't you shut your fkn ignorant mouth regarding whether or not LSU has a QB. You don't have any fkn idea how the QB's will perform this year, with a year under their belt. I swear, I'm so sick of the absolute ignorant posters like you on here.

Anger management issues? The point stands so far as I can see. Until LSU has a QB that can actually play effectively in the SEC, it has little chance of winning the West or anything else. Who knows, maybe BH has really improved and will light it up. I do not understand the hype or vulgarian rants.

#10 seems about right, although I have a hard time believing 3 PAC 12 teams are top 10 (4 out of 15 too). Also, the 2 Big 12 teams in the top 5 will not be there by the end of the season.

Frankly, I do not see how anyone has any clue about what to expect from any of these teams at this time.

Exactly right. Any poll where people vote is basically meaningless, but a pre-season poll is completely and utterly worthless. No one has any idea what's going to happen.

If you want to do a poll, wait until 2/3 through the season so you have a better overall picture.

I realize Phil Steele is trying to sell magazines, but I give zero attention to any pre-season poll, pre-season All-America lists, etc. It's just done to fill the boredom of the off-season (and to become fodder for message boards like this one).

Somewhere between 10 and 15 seems about right, but without a solid QB, it could be a lot worse than that.
