i never said he wouldn't be an improvement. him being a force is silly.

Where was this stated that he would be a "force?" Most are cautiously optimistic based on last year with White. But if these numbers are even remotely accurate he's already an improvement offensively than White. If White can average 7 a game and this guy is better, it's not out of the question to feel good about adding a possible double digit scorer down low.

cautious, indeed.

Use of the word "may" would indicate caution.

oh c'mon dude
There's nothing to take from these italian games other than that the team will probably be a little closer together. You don't have to defend every rantarded statement in the name of being positive. I for one think the team will be improved this year, probably up to .500 in SEC play. does that mean I have to back up everything positive? No. And if I remember right you were one of Trent's biggest detractors last season.

I don't think it matters at all. But people are either going to bitch for a lack of success there or find a way to consider this entire trip a waste of time and will just bitch about that.
And I'm not defending that dudes statement, but he said Hamilton MAY be a force inside. That is a cautious statement.
If Hamilton is better than White, which is what these games tend to indicate, that's a good thing. I don't expect him to be dominant, but I do think that he'll be a possible double figure scorer in the post, and we need that.

Couldn't be more off-base.

Hamilton averaged around 8 and 6 at Iowa State. he isn't anything special.
He averaged 8 and 6 playing 21 minutes as a sophomore. Not outrageous to project that anywhere around 10/7 to 14/9 as a full time junior starter. Which would be very solid to pretty damn good.

Those numbers would be outstanding.

he was also playing with an nba 1st round pick next to him in craig brackins.

I think Isaac is also gonna surprise some people next yr. He's gonna be a nice athletic scorer coming off the bench, which is something else LSU hasn't had in awhile.

I don't even care if he can score as long as he can defend the perimeter he may play more than we expect. But I'm not familiar with his defensive ability, but he seems to be an athletic guy from reports.

Its hard to know how that effects production though, it can go either way. O'bryant isn't going to be a slouch or anything.

Hopefully Storm is able to carry over some of his performances towards the end of last season into next year. He was as productive as anyone on our team in the last five games.

brackins was an outside type of PF who drew bigs away from the basket. he's one of their all time greats.
i think O'Bryant will start the season next to Warren or perhaps Hamilton. we just don't have the luxury to sit size like that.

I saw him play a couple of times and he's athletic enough to guard the perimeter well. However, he didn't play much defense in the games I saw. You're right though that he'll get more playing time if he does guard well.

I think we'll end up seeing a lot of O'Bryant and Hamilton on the floor at the same time. Not initially, but by the start of SEC play IMO.

yea, storm played like a beast at the end of the season.
teams may actually have to respect our bigs, opening up shots for the guards.

We severely need defensive improvement. Maturity alone should benefit our three young guys.
