Good breakdown man. I think if they play their best, this is an Omaha team right here.

Now for my ever so updated every month in the summer lineup.

1B-Edward (SO)
2B-Hanover (JR)
SS-Nola (JR)
3B-Jones (FR)*
LF-Watkins (JR)
CF-Leblanc (JR)*
RF-Mahtook (JR)
C-Ross (FR)*
DH-Rhymes (SO)

Rhymes could play anywhere on the infield, but lets be honest...he's here for his bat.

Lee (FR)*, Gausman (FR)*, Matulis (JR), Eades (FR)*, Alsup (SR), Ott (JR), Bradshaw (SR), and Bourgeios (JR) all posses a possible starting pitcher identity.

Jones and Rhymes will need to earn their starting spots, a guy like Katz prob hit his way into one at the end of last season and is now leading the prospect league in hitting.

id have Rhymes at 3rd, Katz DH, at least to start.

Jones is going to find his way in the lineup somewhere. (IF) Katz starts off at DH his leash is going to be very very short.

When will Eades start throwing again off of a mound? I thought the plan was for him to play a position this year, and then get him back into pitching form next year?

one article said eades may help at DH this year, possibly throw some, if he was healthy enough could figure into weekend plans, just depends how quick he gets back

He's a better pitcher (my own opinion), but he can hit as well as position players. WILL play somewhere.

I was introduced to Ryan Eades mom last night at NHS gym . My 10 yr old son's baseball all star coach is also a coach at NHS. We were practicing inside due to rain, and she came in for a minute. My son's coach introduced us and told her that I was a big LSU baseball fan. She said Ryan is 100% coming to LSU! She also said that he is going to surprise a lot of people with how fast he has recovered thanks to the great job the doctors did. I told her that my son and I cant wait to see him in the box. She thanked me and said that Ryan can't wait to suit up for the best fans in the world!

If Lee does indeed make it to campus, I don't see how he can become a weekend starter at first because he will not have been involved in fall practice. It will take him months to get in baseball shape. A postion player is different. A pitcher on the other hand can not just step in and throw 5-6 innings. All other players on the team will have gone through a fall practice. It might be different if he was a position player. It will take he at least middle of the SEC to round into shape and then what happens when spring football starts?

I haven't been keeping up very well lately, what's the deal with LeBlanc? Is he suddenly expected to make it to campus? Before it seemed like most people had written him off. Thanks!

I wouldn't get carried away with what he is doing this Summer just yet. He has a great average but in limited ABs. He isn't listed among the league leaders because they have about three times as many plate appearances as he does. He may also be injured since he hasn't appeared in a game since last week.

Before the draft it was widely expected that with his son and bride to be he was gearing up to sign with any team that selected. Leblanc was a top 10 round talent however fell to the 11th round. Right now he's leaning towards a year at LSU and raising his draft stock.

The Red Sox can and may pony up enough to make him think twice, but I thought they would have at least given him a higher offer than what he's hearing right now.

You da MAN Adam thanks again
Sounds like he's expected to compete for a starting spot so I'm looking forward to getting to watch him (hopefully).

At this point I'd say Edward at 1st base, Rhymes at DH
