wouldnt write ranaudo or cecchini off just yet. also i think we have another catcher named peterson from deridder. if i had to guess mormann is gone, not sure didier or lowery will be back and fury & cotton being a walk-on may be gone as well if we need the roster space.

i think Edward will move to first, he is a spark plug on offense and will only get better and has some power potential
Hanover and Nola are solid average guys who play good defense and can hit the long ball occasionally
I think Jacoby Jones will likely play third.
Rhymes will have to play somewhere, maybe DH, i think he is a switch hitter. Bruno would add some pop but he may have to sit out due to transfer
Outfield-Mahtook will be a beast and if leblanc is as good as advertised will be similar to mikie. Watkins probably gets his pre-injury form and starts at the other outfield but Katz will need to play somewhere as well
Ty Ross is solid defensively and snikeris hit 400 in Juco, feel good about both of them
Pitching-mainieri had said lee and gausmann could be weekend starters then alsup, matulis, bourgeois, bradshaw and even ryan eades could figure in.
overall seems we have more depth for next year

I think we are a Friday night ace away from being a national championship contender. Question is who can be the Friday night ace? Alsup is probably better suited to be a Saturday starter.

Eades injury status is too uncertain for me to pencil him in as a weekend guy right now. I have my doubts about Gausman stepping right in as a dominant pitcher. CPM is surely telling him that though in hopes of getting him on campus. Matulis' development has really bothered me. He needs the killer instinct.

I wonder if Les would have a problem with Lee as a starter in the weekend rotation....just curious.

What happened with Wes Luquette from Newman. I know he had some arm problems, but wasn't he in the running for catcher.

It will be interesting to see how they handle Lee. They handled Jones and Mitchell differently, and Lee comes in as a more highly regarded baseball prospect than either of them.

Either Katz Rhymes or Watkins isn't going to be playing a whole bunch, and thats alot of talent. Also I'd have to think if Lee shows up, he'd instantly be the friday night guy.

That would be Samuel Peterson from Rosepine. Great athlete, that can play any position. But have heard that LSU is looking at him more as a pitcher. BTW, I think he is a walk-on like Jackson Slaid-catcher, but projected as an outfielder at LSU.

forgot about Peterson. He is added. That makes 39. If Bruno has to sit out this year we are back to 38.

only difference between mitchell and lee is that the dodgers actually drafted lee in 1st round

mitcheel had first round grade out of high school, but he made it well-known that it was going to be a tough sign
