Anyone else agree that this is one of the best freshman classes to through the program in recent years?

I know it's only been 7.5 games but they've all looked really sharp.

Freshman look good at the plate, for sure. They have looked well prepared for the level of pitching they have faced , at this point. How does the Freshman pitching look?

On paper they were one of the best incoming classes in a while. So far they're living up to it.

Very very small sample size at this point. Lange and Poche are stealing the pitching spotlight.

So far so good though.

So then you're agreeing that it was one of the best.

Slaughter and smith have the corners locked in. I can see smith sliding to short next here. Been impressed with his defense. Woley really coming in hot in limited time.

Smith is undoubtedly the shortstop next year. There's only 1 SS signed this year and nobody else returning could play the position.

Edit: Slaughter and Watson were HS SS but probably don't project there considering they were moved to OF and 1B. Slaughter could probably play third tho

Yeah, on paper it was a very good class. But we signed the #1 class two years before this years freshman class. You acted like it had been 10 years since we had a class this good.

It's awesome to pull in such a great freshman class while you have a veteran team. This will be one of the smoother transitions we've had.
