Brian Dozier was a much better player than Kramer. Bigger, stronger, better SS.

Oh yea, and he Came back for his Sr year after being an early pick

You're right. I calculated the round without factoring that in.

t-bird,Jake Fraley can hit 350 and set the table in every game and play a good center field. After watching him for two years, I expected more. POWER POWER"Like I have said before, take him out of the 2 hole. If he is as good as you think he is , he should be batting 3rd or 5th.

Fraley is really puzzling. He's hit some absolute bombs that were foul, so you know he's capable. He has the size to be able to hit for power, he just flat out hasn't in games for whatever reason. And he did hit in the 3 hole for the first couple series this season

I agree it's strange. The old "straighten it out" after 4 or 5 foul rockets doesn't seem to work on Jake. Looking back most of his outs are either popups or weak grounders. So he's just missing the ball when he puts it in play between the lines. When he yanks it it goes 400 feet. His swing seems more hitchy/wrist involved this year. Freshman and sophomore year he had a fluid swing through the ball. Now it's like he doesn't get extension and the ball is either popped up or fisted to the 2nd baseman. But his power potential is very real, whether we ever see it is another question all together. He'd be a legitimate 5 tool player if it ever manifests.

It is well known around LSU that KRob wants out. Fraley is gone too but it's more to chase a dream than run from Mainieri.

Highly doubt Romero leaves. Last I checked he was an engineering major and being from BR has to hold some importance.

Newman is gone.

Stallings and Deichmann should come back but likely won't. I don't think Deichmann has done much of anything this year, but I wouldn't blame him for not returning.

My take on the list.

C Romero Jr - Will be back
1B Deichmann - Has a ton of leverage this year, will improve his draft stock tremendously for the '17 draft with an above average junior season. I think he actually returns and tries to become a top 5 rounder, he's just not going to get there this June.
2B Freeman Jr - Will be back
SS KRob Jr - Don't see him leaving this year with the SS gig locked up.
CF Fraley Jr - Will sign with an MLB team
LHP Poche Jr - will sign with an MLB team
RHP Stallings draft eligible soph - Along with Deichmann the biggest question mark, see him returning.
RHP Newman Jr - Honestly I think Newman will sign with an MLB team, his stock will never be higher.
RHP Bugg - Jr - Will be back
RHP Reynolds Jr - Will be back
LHP Valek Sr - Senior
RHP Bain draft eligible soph - Will be back
RHP Riley Smith Jr - He hasn't been right the entire season, he'll still get a flyer by a team but after that it's all cloudy.

Romero has switched majors to something easier, like business or management. He's from a great family that values education. I expect him to be back.

Can any of them sing well? If not, hopefully, none of them.

Busy time at work. Didn't see you had responded. I have no info regarding who leaves and stays. But saying only 3 players sign seems awfully low. KRob can't raise his stock any higher than it is now. Deichmann may be ready to bolt. Stallings too. Reynolds will get plenty of looks and is a good shot to go.

There isnt a pro scout that gives a rats arse about batting average anymore. Deichmans slugging pct is .497 and the second highest on the team. He will be drafted at a decent spot and he will be gone

There's both sides to this fence. Greg is in a unique situation because he has the ultimate leverage as a sophomore. With this being said I don't think a team in rounds 1-10 will just for fun "take a flyer" on this kid unless they've mixed in a couple of college seniors and have put aside a pool specifically for Greg.

The amount of "hate" people think Greg has for this coaching staff is extremely overblown.

What amount of "hate" has been expressed? Not much really. The talk has been mostly on PM's side.

I think Deichmann would be smart to stay as a draft eligible sophomore. He has great leverage and nowhere to go but up.
