The 2009 team did, not the 2010 one.

LSU and Florida are the other 2 closest to Texas' competitiveness in those Big 3 sports. Our basketball coach seems to have us headed in the right direction - baseball has the coach and program to maintain and the football talent continues to be top 10.

This is huge, those are the biggest shoes that we've had to fill from the previous season in a long, long time. Somebody has to step up.

Thanks so the Tigers should be in good shape for another run.

Let's see, UT is ranked #2 in football, #2 in basketball and #1 in baseball. Pretty damn impressive.

A&M needs to get their program rolling again, or this could become a disturbing trend.

Why do they insist on "Louisiana St." instead of LSU?

Nice, I thought we should be about 4 or 5

Saw Coach Mainieri Friday night, and he predicted #5. I thought he was being modest, didn't see any lower than #3.

Top five spots are only seperated by 5 total points in the poll. UVA should be really good this year.

UNC fell pretty far. Did they lose a lot of people? I thought they were pretty young last year.

I'm surprised Rice isn't ranked higher. I thought they had virtually everybody coming back.

Unlike Texas we don't play mediocre competition all year

texas is one of the schools that you shouldn't be surprised about in terms of how much success they are having with athletics as a whole. with the amount of resources at its disposal, i'm not one bit shocked that they are firing on all cylinders.

I don't think the loss of Coleman can be understated. He was the heart and soul of the team.

Lost top two players Alex White and Dustin Ackley who basically carried the team last year. Also the 08 draft took I think 6 of the 8 players in that recruiting class so Fox is having to rebuild that gap of talent.

I'm surprised LSU is ranked that high, I figured 5th or so

UVA should be really good. I was thinking

1. Texas
2. UVA
3. CSF
4. ASU
5. LSU
