You people are really getting stupid with this night game vs day game stuff.

I would agree with you, but historical data overwhelmingly suggests that LSU plays better at night than in the day.

Whether or not you agree that start time is a valid reason for playing well or playing poorly... it's irrelevant. It's an historic trend that can't be disputed.

I know that start time doesn't guarantee victory by itself, but I can't fault people for having a preference. Not when the difference in record is that far apart.

I thought that was for home games. It's something around .500 for home day games at TS.

Anyone know the road game record for day vs night games for LSU?

Historically, we have played lesser opponents at night (eg, OOC cupcakes)...so a more in-depth analysis would need to be done to prove your conclusion.

SO WHAT. History means NOTHING to THIS team and THIS year.

I will dispute it. It should NEVER matter when your team plays. They should be ready regaurdless.

day game/night game doesn't matter. Good teams show up to play no matter what, no matter where. They just bring it.

Our fans need to stop this helpless mentality about the game being 2:30/CBS.

We beat GA at GA last year, beat Tennessee this year. Nearly beat Bama the past two years.

We need to bring the fire in Jordan Hare.

THIS!!! The best thing for this team is playing BIG games on the raod. A day game is just perfect for LSU

Can you remember the last time we beat Auburn at Jordan Hare during the day? Because I cannot. 1998's game was a 4 pm kickoff, so we cannot count that.

Historically (and maybe supersticiously) we have won at night at Auburn a good bit - '96, '98, '08. Auburn during rthe day at JHS - losses in '89, '92, '94, '02, '04, '06.

Also, why is it that we lose so many damn day games on CBS? Last year we lost Florida, Bama, Ole Miss. Beat UGA. The year before we lose to Florida, Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas. Beat no one.

I know it's all just coincidence, but anytime we play day games with Verne and Gary, it just blows.

This works out well for me! My fiance's sister is getting married at 7 that day. I can still watch the game live! Well, or at least I can look at the updates on my phone and not be AS rude.

I agree 100%. Fans need to get over the night game/day game hang up. This isn't 1970 where only a precious few games were on tv each Saturday. The networks dictate the kickoff times in this day and age. Deal with it. I'm just glad my school is playing in the "BIG" SEC game of the week. I would rather be watching a 7-0 LSU play during the day on CBS than a 4-3 LSU team playing at night on ESPNU.

I can't either, but I think this is just an anomaly that has to do with the quality of the teams in the years we happen to play at Auburn at night...LSU has been better than Auburn most of the night game years. Jordan-Hare is definitely more rowdy at night, so I'm definitely more in favor of a day game there. I thought the opposite about Florida.

Peej, of course I'm not dumb enough to believe Gary and Verne make us lose...but I just associate the last few shitty games with those two. Cannot argue with that.

As for the night game trend...it's mysterious, much like our night-game tradition has always been.

I would also be willing to be that historically, LSU is one of the top 3 schools in the country when it comes to playing night football games in number.

In 2008 the FLA and UGA games were just horrible cause the team was. In 2006 The AU game was a struggle. But at the same time what happened in 2007????? Yea I know Kent and Arkie. But I still think we have a bertter shot at AU during the day than at night. OF course we could be cheering for Vandy and NEVER be on CBS!!!!!
