No, I feel that way because I respect my fellow man regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation and prefer to judge people by the content of their character rather than just saying "EW GAY PEOPLE ARE ICKY AND HAVE TEH AIDS!"

Derp. They got exactly the answer they were hoping for with Al Blue. The media loves this kind of attention.

Not sure where your going with this statement.

Years ago we asked white football players about playing with black people in this same situation.

Would you say the same thing if it involved race? The future will look back on quotes like that with shame.
That point was made earlier, and someone said it wasn't the same because being gay was a choice

This. Brittany Griner coming out was a major story yesterday, as if anyone believed a guy would have sex with her.

My dad is a physician in Baton Rouge. You might be surprised to learn that the vast majority of HIV cases in the city are heterosexual black men and women. So check your facts before you spout any more of your homophobic bullshite on here.

Maybe people believe it not judging the person rather the lifestyle. So just because someone doesn't agree with homosexuality then they are automatically listed racist homophobe etc... Maybe it just goes against their beliefs what wrong with that. And people keep saying that history will look down on those comments. Well you are assuming that your view point is the only view point.

He does but he deserves all of the venom that comes back at him. Same as if he was a white racist football player talking about black players.

He answered a question. You don't like his answer and are whining like a little gay boy sissy.

Bitches like you get all worked up over politically incorrect talk in a free country.

Oh, and you're now taking one guy's comment and stereotyping others using "people" instead of person. You suck as a fan.

I am not saying I agree with it. But he was asked a question and he answered it with his opinion. People shouldn't bash him for speaking what he believes.

I agree 100%. But he should have had the foresight to know that being in his position as a well-liked and respected running back for the flagship institution of a state, he shouldn't make these kinds of statements.

I think the point some people are trying to make is Blue is ignorant and not a true Tiger.

He does come off as pretty damn ignorant, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's any less of a Tiger.

quote:

You should respect a teammate for the three letter on the side of the helmet. And if that teammate bleeds, sweats, and gives his all for those three letters, it shouldn't matter his sexual orientation. At least that's how a true LSU tiger should feel.
