Yea I have a feeling each team feels they play a hard enough schedule without playing each other every year.

I would've normally welcomed this but now that we're on top I want to pay them back of all those years of skull-dragging. I don't want to end it just yet.

Makes sense but sucks. I'll miss the rivalry. My first LSU game was in 1993 in Tiger Stadium when Florida beat the shite out of us.

Didn't we pretty much know this was likely to happen when the expansion was verified?
I'm torn. I love the Florida game. It's absolutely one of my favorites every year.
However, in the long run, Florida is a top notch SEC program that we face yearly and our division rivals don't. It's better for our chances at getting to the SEC champ game.

I agree, but really I just want to face more than just Florida and one other team from the other division. It would kinda suck(IMO) to play only one team from the other side each year.
To only get a chance once every twelve years to go to some of the other stadiums over there doesn't sound exciting to me.

Finally.
It kinda sucks from the stand point that they're down now. It would be awesome to beat up on them for a few more years, but they'll be back. It's not fair that we'd be locked into each other every year when other teams in the conference get easier games. Besides, if it's so important to beat them, they can meet us in Atlanta.

Don't think they are looking to replace Florida with another annual opponent. I think it will leave the option to play all other teams in the east
