Houston is 5-1 with their only loss to Rhode Island.
Their probable starting lineup is:
G Ronnie Johnson (6-0 Jr.) 13.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.7 apg, 87% FT (20-23)
G Damyean Dotson (6-5 Jr.) 11.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 44.6% FG (25-56), 12-14 FT
G LeRon Barnes (6-5 Sr.) 6.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 44.1% FG (15-34)
F Devonta Pollard (6-8 Sr.) 15.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 54.1% FG (33-61), 84.8% FT (28-33)
C Kyle Meyer (6-10 Jr.) 4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 45% FG (9-20)
Key reserves
G Rob Gray (6-2 So.) 17.7 ppg, 3 rpg, 48.8% FG (39-80), 40% 3-pt. FG (16-40)
G Galen Robinson (6-0 Fr.) 7.2 ppg, 3.5 apg, 54.8% FG (17-31)
F Danrad Knowles (6-10 Jr.) 4.3 ppg, 60% FG (12-20)
Coach: Kelvin Sampson (18-20, 2nd season; 518-290, 26th season overall)
Coach Sampson was a highly successful coach at Oklahoma and Indiana before being sanctioned for recruiting violations while at Indiana. He then spent three years as an assistant in the NBA and is in his second season with Houston.

Look, if we can't beat teams like this the NIT is where we belong. Let's quit kidding ourselves.

On the road against a veteran Houston squad, I don't have a good feeling about this

What are the chances I can show up and get a ticket at the arena?

Kelvin Sampson should have stayed with the Rockets. He would be the head coach now that they fired Kevin McHale

Those numbers are empty. They've played the weakest schedule in the country. ULM was the only team from a semi decent conference they played, and ULM is probably the worst team in the Sun Belt. They got dominated by a bad Rhode Island team. Stop with the negative bullshite. These guys are fricking shite.

Exactly. I don't feel confident because our lack of Rod success, but they're anything but a good squad. They won't make the NIT and are a probably around a 150 RPI

If thy can dribble penetrate and shoot from outside they'll give us trouble. At least their starting lineup is relatively small so hopefully we won't get dominated on the boards like we have been.
I sure hope Victor is as advertised because we have the nation's leading rebounder and have still been dominated on the glass in seemingly every game so far.
I've accepted that offensively we run and jack up low percentage threes when we're not running, and that it's not likely to change anytime soon.

True, and I don't know if we'll be as efficient scoring inside by Simmons as I'll bet Houston is a bit better defensively on the interior than UNF.
I'd like to see us step up defensive pressure more, press and even trap more in the half-court to create more running opportunities because or defense seems at this point unable to stay in front of guys and rotate consistently well in the half court.
