The GD retards are going to have a field day with this sweep

Probably so, but isn't if the coach and team didn't give them plenty of ammo. You have to wonder what they have been working on in camp.

But it's early and this weekend has to get the player's attention and the preseason hype has to be gone now.

Pitiful. Hope this team finds itself before conference play.

The gap between the talent the team has and how they actually play is as wide as any LSU team I have ever seen. That may change, but this team is poorly coached right now.

Not a fan of the closer coming in the 8th either. Never have been. Seems to often backfire. He pitched well to hold them to the 1 run in the 8th.. but..

It gives the team a little something to look at prior to the 9th.

In no means am I faulting CPM for this decision.. this is more of a superstition thing for me. I wish Peterson could be the set up guy and Hess close. Hess would have gotten us a win this weekend this way. Peterson could have just started the 8th inning.

This was the most disappointing weekend in quite some time.

So you're telling me you definitively saw that Josh Smith didn't slide his foot over the top of the bag? You're telling me that everybody saw that? Because there was Zero definitive evidence that he didn't slide his foot over the top of the bag.

No I didnt see him touch the bag. Maybe you had a different angle. you also said all you have to do is be in the vicinity, which is laughable.
I don't disagree with the rest of your post.

In the past, in the MLB, this was true. It's no longer the case though.

Correct. He said you get the call if you're in the vicinity from little league to pro ball. It's weak to blame the umps for that one, despite how bad they were at times.

It's always "Just wait until next week/month/year" for all you Sunshine Cheerleader Lunatics.

Hey wait, yall were all spewing that LSU was going to totally destroy Texas in baseball this weekend.

Oh, I know I know I know. I got the schtick down.

"It's still early in the season and the umps were anti-LSU and we'll be fine and that's baseball."

Exactly. Nobody could see from any angle whether or not his foot actually touched or didn't touch the bag. Therefore, the call in the field stands. Runner was out at second. But no. They overturned it and said he was safe. Which means they definitively saw Josh Smith not touch the bag. Again, there was no angle that showed that he did not touch the bag with 100% certainty.

No I didn't say that. You're getting me confused with another poster. All my comments have been about what absolutely is or isn't.

The 2b ump called him safe on the field. They didn't overturn it.

A&M left the Big 12 because the SEC is an all around better athletics conference with better fan support and more money. They didn't leave because of biased refs or umps. That's incredibly stupid.
