Why does this seem like such easy money?

I love lsu football and I hope they crush the Bulldogs by 3+ td's, but the lost warmup game really concerns me. On the road against a conference opponent, Harris' first start since early last year, and State has a hard fought game against a legitimate opponent under their belt.

I wonder what the line would have been had we handled business against mcneese? I bet more than 2.5.

I'm sure Southern Miss has improved some, but they went 3-9 last year in the CUSA...

Laugh all you want but Southern Miss is an in state rivalry for them. State is down this year compared to last. It was not a gimme game. In fact it was close for a good while. Southern Miss is certainly a few notches above McNeese.

While I agree with this, the only thing to remember is that State has only 5 or 6 plays that they can watch film on from this year, so I would think it would be advantage Tigers. We had 4 legit opponents the last couple years and all had more talent than state.

Guys don't be concerned. Remember out of most all teams in college football, LSU is used to starting the season with a big game:

2009 - LSU at. Washington Huskies - Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
2010 - LSU vs. North Carolina - Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
2011 - LSU vs. Oregon - Cowboy's Classic, Arlington, TX
2012 - LSU vs. North Texas - Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA
2013 - LSU vs. TCU - Cowboy's Classic, Arlington, TX
2014 - LSU vs. Wisconsin - NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
Since our season opener vs. McNeese was cancelled, nothings changed:
2015 - LSU at. Miss. State - Davis Wade Stadium, Starkville, MS

No big deal, our opener is against a team we want revenge against and from what I saw in the Miss. St. vs. Southern Miss. game, Miss. St. better pray for rain. Muhahahahaha!!!

Yeah and Miss. St. actually tagged on most of their points at the very end. The game was really close otherwise.

lost warmup game
The starters each lost approximately 15 minutes of gametime vs a FCS opponent.

I know we didn't see a lot. But, I sure did like how aggressive our D was.

True but the difference here is we prepared for that team for a longer period of time. Hoping Les and Co. looked ahead a little bit in the preparations prior to Mcneese.

If we can escape Stark Vegas with a win (last second FG or defensive stand) then I think we get back on track.

If we lose Saturday, man it's going to get ugly.

Perhaps Vegas knows something we don't. I mean they did whoop our arse last year and this is in their stadium and this will technically be our first game. I would take State on that bet
