I've come to the authority to ask for guidance. Bringing wife, friend and daughter all for our first trip to Death Valley this weekend. Are there cash parking lots near the stadium? How early should we get there? I know we don't know anyone to tailgate with but would like to walk around and see the campus. Daughter is 13 and wants to go to LSU for veterinarian and all the schedules seemed to click for this weekend. So any help you might offer would be appreciated.

Free parking down by the vet school. Get to campus at about 9/10 to be safe. Tickets will be easy to find. Come to the top of victory hill on game day and they are always for sale at game time. I usually have several extra for these types of games, but not until right before game time. Go to Chimes if you have time. Make sure she sees the band come down. 2hrs? before kick off. Good luck, Welcome to LSU

Introduce yourselves at a tailgate, including that this is your first trip and your daughter wants to come to school here, and chances are high you will be welcomed with open arms and offered food, beverages, and suggestions for making the most of the experience. We want everyone to experience and understand why we love this place and our team.

When I went to law school at LSU I would park at a friend's house and walk to the campus (not even a quarter mile).

I would walk with nothing and by the time I got to our tailgate I would have already had 3 drinks and breakfast.

There is not a more welcoming campus in the country.

Walk up to any tailgate and tell them this and you will be rewarded nicely with food and drink.
